Who is behind the site

William Leo develops and maintains Wordly Finder, reviews its published content, and is responsible for updates to its tools and reference pages. The goal is simple: make Wordle assistance useful, understandable, and easy to verify.

How the tools are built

Solver results are produced from structured five-letter word lists and the clues entered by a visitor. Green letters are kept in position, yellow letters are retained in allowed positions, and excluded letters are filtered with repeated-letter behavior considered where the interface supports it.

Interactive features are tested against expected clue patterns, route behavior, mobile layouts, accessibility requirements, light and dark themes, and production builds before release.

Editorial standards

  • Explanations are written for players and avoid unnecessary jargon.
  • Facts are checked against the site’s maintained data and the behavior of the relevant tool.
  • Pages identify the difference between accepted guesses and possible answers.
  • Hints are designed to preserve player choice and reduce unwanted spoilers.
  • Material errors are corrected when identified.

Sources and transparency

Wordly Finder uses maintained word and answer datasets, publicly available language references, and first-party testing of its own tools. Where third-party definitions or licensed material are used, attribution is retained on the site.

Word lists and game behavior can change. The live Wordle game remains the final authority on whether a particular guess is accepted or selected as an answer.

Corrections and updates

If a word status, answer record, explanation, or tool result appears incorrect, email the page URL and a short description of the issue. Reports are reviewed against the relevant data and site behavior before a correction is published.
